April brought a renewed sense of hope and celebration to the sanctuary. From Woody’s remarkable recovery to a joyful Easter event and plans for the summer, this month reminded us how powerful community can be — and how every small act of kindness makes a lasting difference.
🛁 Woody’s Wellness Milestone
It’s hard to believe that almost a year ago, Woody was fighting for his life after a serious bout of colic. Emergency surgery saved him, and seeing him now — freshly bathed, clipped, and sporting his brand new sweet itch rug — feels like a miracle.
He’s doing brilliantly and is back to his cheeky self, all thanks to the care he received and the donations that made it possible. Your support truly saves lives. Thank you for helping us give horses like Woody their second chance.
🐣 A Brilliant Easter Fun Day
We were absolutely blown away by the turnout and generosity at our Easter Fun Day. With your help, we raised a fantastic £1,027.89 — every penny going straight back to the care of our ponies.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, donated, bought raffle tickets or just gave us a smile. Special thanks also to our friends at Cheshire Guinea Pig Rescue, who joined us on the day to raise funds for their own amazing cause. It was lovely to stand side by side with another team dedicated to giving animals the care they deserve.
🐶 Summer Fair & Dog Show Incoming
We’re excited to share that we’ll be hosting a Summer Fair and Dog Show at our original Parkgate site later this year. If you're a local maker, baker or animal lover with a small business, we’d love to hear from you — we’ll be looking for stallholders very soon.
Keep an eye on our page for all the details in the coming days.
💛 Thank You, Always
April reminded us how powerful community really is. Whether it’s a life-saving donation, a kind word, or a few pounds raised at an event, it all adds up to something much bigger. You’re part of every happy ending we share.
We are dedicated team of animal lovers, nature enthusiasts and experts committed to safeguarding ponies, and animals in need.
